Oil Leak
08/17/06 at 17:46:35

I have a pretty nice oil leak which seems to have gotten worse lately. It leaks all down the cooling fins and the whole top of the engine by the spark plug and underneath the fuel tank is all oily. Im guessing it is the plug leak that everyone has been talking about. I have seen some instructions in the technical documents section and I have the clymer manual.

My question is do I have to remove the engine from the frame to remove the head cover? It seems like a huge pain if I have to remove the engine.

Thanks

No need to pull the engine, it's not a real bad job at all if you follow the post in the tech section - takes about 4 hours if you take your time

Yup.  That would be the Savage "Plug/Cap" Leak topic.
