I am very new to bikes & have no knowledge of tire manufacturers. No idea what "brand engineering" means. If I can run a different name on the side of the tire & get the same performance & have $$$ in my pocket, I am LIstening,,,Thanks.

Brand engineering is current speak for the old badge engineering. Camaro or Firebird. Dodge Dart or Plymouth Duster. Ramcharger or TrailDuster. Maxxis or Cheng Shin. Bridgestone or Firestone. Dunlop or Sumitomo. Same exact product, just a different name, and one is usually more expensive than the othe.
