Tensioner, clip that holds the tensioner on the pin (just in case it flys away from you in the garage), cam chain, clutch cover gasket, new lock plate for clutch basket nut. No the head does not have to come over, only the top cover of the cam area. Be sure to position the engine at TDC firing position to the valve rockers and free when you R or R the cover.  Good directions in the tech section. Be sure to use the bolt holder template that is there as those bolts are citical in placement. Also the idea of using cotton swabs to insure there is no residual oil in those bolt holes is important.  Max

I would replace the rear chain tensioner guide also.
This is the guide that pushes the chain forward and gets worn too.

No removal of the head required. The rear tensioner guide is the one that is attached to the tensioner. The bolt is on the RH side of the head and the guide can be removed once this bolt is out. Pull the guide downward.

Note: RH side of the bike means when sitting on the bike and your nose pointing in the direction of the frontwheel.
Just joking

Hmmm...

A step by step for the cam chain tensioner repalcement w/ pics might be a good idea for the tech sect.  Too bad mines in good shape.   Roll Eyes
