what would happen if i tried to bend the buckhorn bars outward and foreward ?
would the crome crack ?

perhaps, that would only be a cosmetic issue. the real problem would be a built in weakening of the bars you just created, probably not a good thing. we hated the way the stock bars felt too, try a set of harley bars, they are a little wider and come out at a flatter angle, they feel natural. i got debby's used for $10.00 from a local shop.

your'e right Azjay unless I heated the %&* out of them, and then what would the re-croming be like ?
I guess I'll stop by a harley place. It'll be interesting what they have to say about the savage, hopefully they'll have some used bars.

Do you know what Harley the bars were from Az? I have seen a few on Ebay for $20.

i'm not sure, the local independent harley shop has dozens of them hanging on the walls, i just picked a set that closely resembled what i wanted. when the HD dealership does a bar swap/replacement, they throw the old ones in the trash(brand new or not), 5 days after they remove them from the customers bike. the same holds true for the mufflers.
