I have one. It was made for Japan only AFAIK. Mine was imported to Europe from there. It is chain driven and 396cc. Others may know more technical data.

Were also sold here in NZ. There is usually one or two for sale on our local online auction site at any time. (2 today, www.trademe.co.nz)

My Savage is 400cc too.
Yeah, it is chain drive, and flat bar.

For all the people who are wanting to convert to chain drive, it looks like the LS-650 found it's twin. Nice bike!
