i used that bracket to bolt through the fender (HD does too), ran the taillight wires across the top of the fender under the seat, and removed the hoop thingy from the fender. your install looks good from here!

Got the same seat yesterday.
Trial fitted it, believe the regulator has to be repositioned, yes?

Do you have a clear picture of the bracket you fabbed?

How did you attach the front?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm a good wrench but a lousy frabricator. Need more pictures and/or instructions.
Thanks

Dragon King , I am glad you are happy with the seat. I am the guy you got it from. The tab on the back is needed on the s40, which is what i have and what i used to mock it up. As I said on ebay I was not sure if the seat would work on a savage but I knew it would on an s40. From what i understand from the other guy selling seats on ebay is you do the back as you did with the bolt through the fender and fab. a tab on the front to fasten it to your bike. i tried that and did not like it b/c it gives no support in the center and the seat will flex too much. As you said I do have an instruction booklet on ebay which has pics and cad drawings of how to make the bracket. I am asking 19.00 buy it now for the booklet , which seems like alot for instructions but i have alot of time and printer ink in the drawings. Also if anyone is interested I made another bracket tuesday and would be willing to sell it. As far as that goes i will make as many as people who wants them.  If anyone has any feedback or suggestions please let me know. Also if anyone is interested in the brackets let me know

I just wanted to see if I could make the rear bracket clip under the little piece on the fender like the stock instead of bolting it to the fender. but love the seat put about 75 miles on yeasterday and great ride Grin

today I took the rear bracket and modfieded it

first I drilled longer holes cut off the extra sticking out behind the seat. then bent the bracket alittle but some spacer's between the seat and bracket got allen head bolts alittle longer. and now it slip's under the bracket on the rear fender.
this is the bracket on the rear fender.

the spacer's I used

the bracket after I trimed up and made bigger holes to slide the bolt's forward

the bracket on the seat

the back of the seat on bike
