I have a 2005 S40, am 6'0" with a 36" inseam, and in need of more legroom.....

There are many good posts on this site regarding raising the seat, for example:

Has anyone done this modification to an S40, and if so, are there any tips to share? I'm assuming that the S40 will be similar to the Savage, but who knows.....
