Savage Embossed Motorcycle Slanted Saddlebag
06/28/06 at 10:47:16

Has anyone purchased the Savage Embossed Motorcycle Slanted Saddlebag available from LeatherUp.com?

http://www.leatherup.com/product.asp?pf_id=043%5FSaddle%5FBag

If so, what is the installation like? Will it fit standard Saddlebag Supports?

The price is good  ($39.95) but they provide little info!

Any other suggestions?

Thanks

Those will fit standard Suzuki supports. That is a great price!! Buy them.

I have these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=84146&item=...

I couldn't find them on Leather-UP, but that's where I got'em.  I think they may be out of stock on their site now.  These are also a little deeper than the bags you are looking at.

They work great and just a tad oversized, which requires rear signal removal.  They are pretty solid and have held up to 110 degree weather.  Smiley

OH!... and Leather-up had them cheaper than this E-bayer.      I bought mine fore $54.00 after tax/shipping.

The instructions say that these Saddle Bags need to be bolted or braced on. Have you had experience installing a bolt on saddle bag? If so, given that you have the standard Savage saddle bag support, how do you install it?

I've only used the throw-overs.  My dad has bolt-ons for his Harley, but that requires a special "hanger" to install in order to put those on.

Maybe someone else here could answer that one for ya.

I thought that was a good trade-off though... Cool custom turn signals and a larger saddle-bag.   Grin
