Has anyone done the 3 headlight setup?

You know, one big, 2 small.   oOo

Love the look.

That's on my to do list.
What parts you used, how are they mounted?
Does this setup need any special electrical requirements?

Pics anyone?

done something  like that..i used two small(1 5/8" across face) 20 watt halogen(jc whitney #cago15215)got the tube brackets (hindged P style)from a local independent mc dealer..
am un sure of the s40 electrical system output so the 2 20 watters..mounted a relay under th seat by the air snorkel..the relays coil is controlled buy the low beam wire from the head lite bucket, ran a new fused circut from the battery to a switch(never have turned them off)
in the left side panel then thru the contacts in the relay then to the lamps(using the headlite bucket as a junction box, sleeved lamp wires with vacume hose from auto shop crammed into hallow mounting bolt) my o6 headlite has no off switch but has relay tied to starter so they go off during start up..when hit high beam aux. lights go off(think its law in most states) but when flash passing high beam they stay on..
sry no pics till get the digicam fixed...have had no problems been on bike for 4 months, plenty of light 8)
p.s. scootworks has a light bar kit for the savage...

speaking of headlights I was looking for the post with the bulb.....the better bulb a xenon bulb or something.

and was there an issue with too much draw on the battery?

I love the way it looks.....the three headlites..........

awesome!

installed a xenon bulb 55/65 watt... no problem lots whiter & brighter than stock..think theres a 90/100 watt xenon available which may have too much draw if you have too many other electrical accessories...

The driving lights are single element bulbs in most cases. BUT...I happen to sell 4.5" diameter "spotlights" with H4 type dual filament halogen bulbs. Seriously considering running 3 true headlights on my Vulcan, what a sad excuse for a headlight.

Something else technically illegal with one of my rides? Who'd a thunk it... Roll Eyes

WD, two of those 4.5" spotlights sounds sorta like what I've been wanting to do for the ol' Zook. Got pics of 'em? And how much wattage are they using? I figure two 55/60w beams is pretty safe if you're using them at-speed (say, 65 mph) and shouldn't be too big of a draw on the electrical system. One for low, two for high.
