So I lost my key. Hot wiring the bike was easy. I now have a switch that turns the ignition on. Ahhh but I still have to put gas in the bike? Do all savage keys work all savage tanks or is the tank "ignition specific". I know someone else know the answer to this question. Please help it's riding season!!!!

bummer! try a good locksmith in your area, they may be able to use a master key to help gain access. also, the older motorcycles ('70s) had a numeric code on the ignition switch that told a locksmith which cut to make for a new key, i haven't looked recently to see if it is still the normal practice. good luck

Bring the empty gas tank to a locksmith. He will do it in less than 1/2 hr.
The price varies a lot, so do Your research before You leave the tank.
The good news is that everything will be back to original. This time have 3 keys made. One will stay at home in secure place. One will be hiden on the bike somewhere and one You will use.
