Chrome side down!

Last night after an oil change I let a buddy take her out for a spin.  He dropped it Shocked (yea, I know)

Luckily, he was almost at a stop and was able to catch himself before the entire bike layed down, but it did put a little scratch on my nice chrome pipe (I coudlnt sleep last night becuase of that) and it scraped up the rear right turnsignal a little bit.  It is stock, looks to be plastic.  Scratches drive me nuts, I must remove them all.

So I have been looking around all morning for a replacement, and I found this site.

Luken's Link

I just need that plastic casing, but it's not labeld there.  Anyone ever changed one of these?  What is that part called? I want to just order that part until I decide to buy cool chrome bullet ones.

Anyway, moral of the story...NOBODY gets on my ride besides me...

Sorry to hear about your ride. In my opinion throw the stock lights over the hill and buy a new after market set. The stocks are junk anyhow.  It really isn't worth the trouble to change the scratched part out for a new one just to change them again later. Save yourself the money and time and just get the aftermarkets now. Even if you have to ride it scratched for a few days longer it will benefit you later. If you can't afford four right now just change out the ones that are scratched then later get the others. The more time you spend wrenching is the less time you spend riding. Grin

Ya know come to think of it, before I changed my lights out I cut the chrome plastic of the stock ones so they would fit over the sissybar and I don't think you can seperate the bulb socket from the plastic housing. I remember looking at it because I was going to take it apart to cut it and couldn't.
