Sorry to hear about your ride. In my opinion throw the stock lights over the hill and buy a new after market set. The stocks are junk anyhow.  It really isn't worth the trouble to change the scratched part out for a new one just to change them again later. Save yourself the money and time and just get the aftermarkets now. Even if you have to ride it scratched for a few days longer it will benefit you later. If you can't afford four right now just change out the ones that are scratched then later get the others. The more time you spend wrenching is the less time you spend riding.

Ya know come to think of it, before I changed my lights out I cut the chrome plastic of the stock ones so they would fit over the sissybar and I don't think you can seperate the bulb socket from the plastic housing. I remember looking at it because I was going to take it apart to cut it and couldn't.
