There have been several folks with various versions adapted to the Savage.  Try a few searches.  You'll probably get a few responses here but there are more available in the past.  I'd look back about two years and search on "tach".  Good luck.  I had a digital one that was intended for small engines but the vibration killed it after about 2 months.  I never really used it anyway.
