Does anyone out there know if the S40 handlebars and risers will fit the LS650?  I have a 97' that I have yet to make any changes to and this is one of the changes I wish to make.

Lil Em,

Look at the cartoon Kropatchek includes in his sig.

Now ask yourself, should I trust an answer about handlebars and risers from this guy?  Grin

Sweet.  Thanks for responding.  My local Suzuki dealer didn't even know the answer.  Gotta love it.  I will be getting those handlebars on real soon.  Pictures to follow.

Thanks again.

Those bars really make the bike look good. I am constantly suprised by the number of people that come up to me asking what my bike is. (white 2005 S40)
The common comment when they find out it is Savage (and not a baby Harley) is
"those bars make it look much better than the old Savage, I really like it"
Meanwhile my partner with his big black "Llimited Edition Hayabusa with Titanium exhaust" shakes his head in wonder as he and his pride and joy are ignored.
Hilarous.

Thumperclone ... if you ever decide to replace your S40's bars and risers, I just might be interested in taking them off your hands ...

I think the risers on the S40 look way too tall, especially with such a narrow drag bar. I'd like to see the S40 bars on the Savage risers, or at least somewhere in between.

Do you know if the bars will fit using the Savage risers? Local dealer says $300 for bars and risers.  Is that accurate?  Haven't shopped anywhere else.  Any other options?

Buckhorn bars on s40 risers? Eewww!!
The S40 bars should fit fine with the savage risers and vice versa.
I just check Ron Ayers, and that looks to be about the right price.
S40 bars are $73.66

Where did you find the riser blocks?  I have been looking for a set, they work great on my XS650 but those are 7/8" bars and I need the 1". Cost?

I believe that you can remove the long stem on the S40 risers and use a shorter bolt.
