Neutral Switch Kickstand switch question
04/16/06 at 21:35:29

When the kickstand is UP and the bike is in neutral I can start the bike with the clutch pulled in. No neutral light, (must be burned out) once I lower the kickstand the motor shuts down. Any ideas??
Thanks
Ike

The way it seems- it is not a bad "N" light, but a bad gear position sensor/ "N" switch/ or a bad wire.

Sounds like the bike "thinks" you are in gear which is why it shuts off when the kickstand is down. My bet would be a bad neutral switch or broken wire to the switch. Check to see if the wire is unplugged and go from there.
