New S40 price

What is a good price for the S40.  I made an offer today and I kinda screwed up.  I made an offer to buy for $4,200 out the door.  They accepted my first offer and then I knew they would have gone lower.  Anyway I told them I wanted to sleep on it, and they were not happy lol.

I don't know why I didn't think of asking here first.

another interesting place for a ball park figure for you area is to go to http://www.cycletrader.com/adsearch.html

and put in the year/make/model - large number of dealers advertise new models as well here

looks like the '06 is running between 3899 and 4399 depending on where you are - and other fees included or not - $4200 out the door - taxes, and all fees included is not a bad price at all

Yup - I'd say if you can write the check for 4200 and drive the bike away you've done good!

Thanks a lot.  I didn't go back on Saturday, and they r not open again until Tuesday.  So I think I'll get it then.  I've been looking 4 a while and It's driving me crazy.  We've had great weather today and I see motorcycles everywhere I look.

Also what do U guys think about riding it home.  It's about 45 miles mostly highway.  That's a lot of high speed on a new engine without letting it cool off any isn't it.  What do u think.

I know of very few highways that cannot be bypassed on two lane country roads.  Might add a few more miles, but you'll enjoy it a lot more.

Oh no, sounds like you've been bitten by a rather nasty bug. So if you talk them down another $150 over the next month it wouldn't be worth the sleep it would cost you. Try to hide the symptoms when you go back to the dealer or they might find another fee they forgot about.

I agree with Paladin, find a much longer way home, stop a few times, snap a picture or two, have a coke, and admire the cause and cure for the bug.
