You removed the plug for the TDC, it's at the 3 o"clock position.
Next, the rotation of the engine is the same as your wheels.
Looking from the left side of the bike when sitting on it > ANTI-CLOCKWISE.
The primary gear has to come off.
IT HAS LH THREAD., meaning you have to turn it CLOCKWISE to undo.
The alignment of the cam is on the camshaft itself , looking from the
LH RH side, anyway the camlobes have to point downwards.

Would it be any help if you get hold of a manual so I could piont you to the pictures?????
