Quick & easy belt alignment

I noticed a raspy whine lately when coasting down to a stop & realized my belt was out of alignment. The adjuster bolts looked even. I got a yardstick & put it across the pulley, then got on my back & looked up at the belt to see if it was parallel to the yardstick. Almost, a little off. Made the adjustment & measured a few times until it was dead even with the yardstick. Belt is silent now.
