A neighbor a few doors down backed out of her driveway in front of my wife (Kim) but Kim was able to avoid slamming into her. I think that was a good, controlled lesson in how invisible you can be on a bike. Today Kim and I rode around in the neighborhood together some and she started getting over her initial uneasiness. She was taking off just fine, using her signals, turning left and right and all that good stuff. Still not ready for the highway, but she made a huge leap today and she's excited about it. I am too.
She's gonna do just fine. I think this will be a great bike for her. She told me yesterday that she wouldn't mind if I "fixed" the exhaust note on her bike to make it a little louder than stock.
