INformative pictures how you should NOT use the silicone putty when installing the valve cover.
At the yellow arrow there's so much sealant that the oil supply channel was blocked resulting in failure of the camshaft bearing surface.

When the camchain jumps a tooth, what will happen if the adjuster piston is out of the cilinder; there's the result:
