k+n ?

I was debating on getting a k+n air filter since it is only about $20 more. I have a jardine exhaust and mixture screw 2 1/2 turns out also one size bigger pilot jet and 152.5 main jet. My question is if u guys thought I would be fine or if I will need to do more to the carb once it gets more airflow? Any help would be greatly appreciated.  thanks

You may want to explore the white spacer mod that is referenced to here as well.

Best rule of thumb, make one change at a time, run it, see how it performs before making the next change.

From what I've read here, a lot of people are running that combo.  It will probably be ok, but you'll should check your spark plug.

BTW, you can get the K&N drop in for about $36 form Permformance International.  Lowest price I've seen.

I put the K&N in. It has much better seals than the stock filter, so I suspect it will keep the dirt out.
There was a slight improvement in acceleration, but nowhere near the SuperTrapp upgrade difference.
Do it. Cheesy

Got my K&N installed the other day.  This morning was my first ride with the total mods completed (white spacer, main jet, idle mix, K&N).

I must say I notice a huge difference in acceleration, and it seems like the engine just runs "easier" because it can breathe better.
