Decompression valve cable ?

I finished my head plug install and tried to adjust the cable. I have a clymer manual but i cant seem to understand how to adjust this thing. I also adjusted the valves while i was there. Both exaust were loose and both intake were tight. Anyway, I dont think the manual explains it very well.

Working from memory here as at the moment both bikes have the tanks on them .... there's a black rubber cap the covers the back side of the solenoid - take this off and seat the rod from the front (port side) - where the rod comes out is where the black cover was - measure it there

Ok thanks, I;ll check it tommorrow. Its still at TDC, even tho i dont see how it matters. The adjustment is made away from the engine. ??? oh well.

If you did a search you would find this.

And oh yeah, it makes a difference if it is at TDCC. For the same reason you cannot properly adjust your valves if you are not at TDC, applies to the de-compression adjustment.
