AN engineer mate of mine knocked this silencer up for me. Its stainless steel and aluminium. As you can see its a reverse taper and not very silent. It has a throaty roar. I have reduced the white spacer to half thicknessaccomodate the reduced back pressure
I think this Forum isEXCELLENT.

SuperTrapp is a direct bolt-on.  Pull the whole exhaust system, put on a new header gasket, line everything up and tighten it all down  Outstanding sound and pulls like a tractor - not a hesitation or flat spot anywhere!  Good luck!

I didn't realize the Supertrapp replaced the header too.  I though it only replaced the muffler like the Jardine and MAC do.  I guess you learn something every day.  The Raask is a full pipe that replaces the entire exhaust system too.  If you search for posts by Greg_650 and look at his bike, you can see the Raask.  It's pricier than most of the mufflers but it's supposed to be excellent quality.

The Supertrapp is a replacement muffler. You keep your original header pipe.

Okay, that's what I originally thought but when I read that you pull the entire exhaust, I wondered if you were replacing the entire thing.  Guess it's necessary since you should replace the header to head crushable gasket.

Looking at Smokey02's reppy it would seem you need to add a spacer in (for brake clearance?), or can you just bolt the SE turnout rail muffler right in place?

I think that it's just because the Trapp can be a "pregnant dog" to get on the header and line up with the muffler bracket.  So, it is sometimes easier to just loosen the whole thing up first.

Hi  tank _you

The rail mount turnout muffler bolts directly onto the existing bracket
using both bolt holes, but that leaves about 5 inches of open space.
Thats why I used a 7 inch adaptor pipe between the back of the header
and the front of the muffler.

Go to the Raask site and click on RETAILERS.

Wait.  No!  Sorry, but you don't want to do that.

Unless something has changed since I got mine.  There is a much cheaper way.  It's the same way that I bought mine...and if I remember right Jendesigner did the same thing with hers...

Go to this site and send an email to Sivert Raask.  They speak perfect English.  I bought mine direct from Raask with a bank wire transfer for the pipe, baffle, and shipping.

Piece of cake, and the entire cost (over 3 years ago) was less that $300.  It arrived in 1 week and I only had to go to the bank.

I tried that and Mr Raask simply instructed me to contact his US distributor: OMAR’S CAFÉ MOTORCYCLE INC.

Dammm.  I'm batting 000 this morning.  Crap.

I guess they've changed.  Their distributors must have started complaining or something.

Sorry.  I'm gonna go play with my camera now Tongue

Yep I got the same thing too a couple months ago.  Makes no sense to have to pay like 400 bucks to the Omar's Cafe people.

All your recent pictures are pretty good Greg!  You must have gotten a new camera for Christmas  Cheesy
