i removed mine by taking off the top of the tripple trees, it was difficult at best.  i had to build a tool to get them back together.  i do like the end result

How easy will they bend?  Looks that once you remove the screw from underneath and pull the turn signals out you could wedge the clamp apart until it either bends enough to clear the fork tube or snaps in two.

I can break anything.  I pretzelled the driveshaft on Wendy's Camaro.

Breaking them off - wear safety googles - and caution in doing it as you may scratch the tube. (Yes, I've done it - on both of my savages)

I don't understand - if you remove the front turn signals from the mounts on the forks, where do you place the new turn signals?

Ther are several options, look at the pictures of other Savages.

Mine will be at the end of the handlebar, like this:

My handlebar will not be as wide as on the picture.

BTW There are some nice pictures on this site.

There is nothing inherently wrong with excessive force.  Excessive force is quite often the correct solution.  The trick is knowing when to use excessive force and when there is an easier solution.

Orrin probably figured that breaking them was the answer.  However, it is good to have verification that such violence is authorized before applying.

Or in the words of my favorite Police Dispatcher:  "Use of unnecessary violence in the apprehension of the Blues Brothers HAS been approved."

i didn't mount any new ones, they are not required in washgington state.

i do like the signals in the end cap of the handlebar.
