Im planning a trip for my wife and I for the weekend on my 06 S40, and I read somewhere that the springs must be adjusted for dual riding. I'm 5'6"-125 lbs an d wifey is 5'3" 105 lbs. Is this necessary or I'm fine with the stock setting? If not, how do I readjust?

You guys are doing good.  Heck, I hate to say, but I weigh more than both you guys together.  I keep it on #4 anyway.

Plus the 2 of you aren't as "thick" as we are.  If ya ever wanted to see something hilarious, that woulda been the one time that I had to give my spouse a ride on mine.  We were so wedged between the back rest and the tank that I could barely see the speedo.  That time, we were the saddle bags and I needed a setting of 10!

Good that I started the Atkins diet, ain't it?

Excuse Me?  I ain't the only fatty.

Maybe a picture would have been better than a thousand words, actually.  Truth is; it happened, and it was our goal to get from point A to B before no more than necessary could see us.  Besides, the gas tank hurts.....

Never-the-less the Savage ain't meant for that, but it did haul "ass" at 60 without any complaints.

Greg, I've seen your picture. Would not call you a fatty, just a grown man.

How's that for a compliment from a short fat lady?

You know, I went this past weekend again with my wife on a ride, this time even farther on  both city and mountain roads, in the number 2 setting on the shocks. And it wasn't that bad at all. Number 4 is stiffer, but number 2 isn't that bad.

yeah I am about what the two of you together are as well, so I'd like to up the suspension a little bit, maybe to 3.... so I just grab a rod, maybe a strong philips scredriver, and clunk it in there and spin that mo' around clockwise one click?
