Fortunately, I'm currently blessed to live in Northern California where it doesn't get too cold, and there are patches of dry, sunny days throughout the winter. Unfortunately, it rains alot and I don't have a garage to store my bike. Argh. I have a basic, cheap bike cover - I think it's plastic. It keeps the elements off of it, but the cover doesn't breath and I notice that at night condensation forms under the cover and on the bike. Double Argh. I guess I'm going to look for a cover that breathes so that the condensation doesn't turn to mildew. Also, when it's dry, I take the cover off and let her dry out real good.

If you don't have a garage, like me, what do you do? Is there anything more I should do or be aware of? I just want to protect my baby the best I can.

Reply #1 - 12/03/05 at 19:20:08 Do you have room for a small yard shed? They have 4x10 steel sheds that mount next to the house or garage. Or you could build a 6x8 shed with a 4 foot wide front door. Plus it places the bike in lockable storage.

I could probably put one at my dad's place, but it's an hour and a half away! That's just too far, because I'm going to be riding her!
