JETTING AN AMAL 36mm CARB
11/18/05 at 05:59:03
Would like to hear feedback from anyone that did re-jetting/mods of an Amal 36mm carb.
Changed the pilot jet on mine & it brought air/idle screw from 3+ turns out to about 1 1/2 turns.
Carb seems to perform well enough. Always (before & after pilot jet change) had bubbling/backfiring at closed throttle, between shifts, full deacceleration, when turning bike off.
Has anyone dealt with these issues with any any degree of success?
