It wasn't meant as a critisism of the choice to keep a bike and fix it.  There are always good reasons to do so and that in my situation the purchase of a new bike would be a consideration if something big were to brake.  I wasn't knocking him or anyone else, but stating my situation that I am able to purchase the bike and don't always have time to fix the bike.  I just wondered the work involved and someone might then talk me into considering the work.  For someone like me who takes half a day to get the jets changed the work is usually just to much.  I am surprised that Savage's were sold from only 86-88 in europe.  They seem to have quite the following onver there for making such a breif appearance.
