hello all, im a newbie on this board. my mid 90's savage has a bent frame beyond repair, can i use an earlier model frame to rebuild the bike??? basicly, im guessing that the frames are all unchanged and everything should fit everything is the question im asking. the only change i know of in the savage line was the motor gearbox going from 4 to 5 speed, atleast thats what i hear. any help will be appreciated, delamite.

yeah i believe a older frame should work, the only thing that changed from 86 to 05 is gears, paint, name.
ps.it must have been one[glow=red,2,300]heII [/glow] of a accident to bend the frame that much!
good luck, and welcome aboard.

Although I believe the frame is unchanged, there have been a few other items since the first Savage. Please see
Savage Parts that have changed '86 to '05
in the Technical Corner.
