The press reported that do to the rises in petrol prises that there would be protests on wednesday and that people were starting to panic buy.........at the time there was no panic buying, but guess what, after their comments there is now.   stations are running out or have run out, and people are queing for more than an hour.....
There are going to be protests, only protests and not blockades.
So once again I suggest that it the press that have caused the panic.  

The average price in the uk is now £0.95p per litre..and 2/3 of that goes to the gov. in taxes.
The price of fuel is actually one of the cheapest in europe until they add the taxes.
