Need Info on Ghost or Bareback Brackets

Has anyone had any experience with ghost or bareback brackets to attach the saddlebags? I'm trying to figure out which way to go - but not much available for our Savages. I want an easy way to remove my saddlebags when I'm not using them. Considering going to the ones that zip off easily. Thanks for any help. Joni

Use the zip offs. You can adapt a set of ghost brackets intended for a late model Sportster, but, the brackets aren't really worth the couple hundred bucks a set price.

Thanks - but if I use the zip off one's, won't I have to use the other brackets to keep the saddlebags off the bike? Do you know what year of sportster I'm safe with? I might be able to find some cheap one's off ebay.
Thanks again for your help. Joni
