alright,heres whats up i took the airbox out and put a 2 inch rubber elbow between the aircleaner and the carb. the aircleaner sticks out the left hand side of the bike. so it gets a heck of alot more air,but when i drive the bike at about 3/4 throttle it starts to sputter.i removed the white spacer ,it seemed to run better but still sputtered. do i need a bigger main jet?

Did you change the exhaust? I think most folks don't remove the entire spacer, jsut shave it down a little.
basically, when you change your air intake, you also need to change your air "outtake" too. And rejet. All three go hand in hand in hand.
Drill the heck out of the stock muffler and bump up your main to a a52.5, for starters.
Also, give it a run at 3/4 throttle and check your plug.
Black = rich
white & crispy = lean = bad
What did you do with the breather hose?
Good luck!

hey man what year is it? Maybe that way we can tell how big the main jet is. If ur using a stock pipe without baffle and an air cleaner like mine u prob want at least a 152.5 , more likely a 155. I got a 157.5 but I let the stealership boys rejet it and I kept the spacer.
Also u would wanna bump the idel jet to 55 from ur 52.5 but it wont make a difference at 3/4 throttle.
I got a 160 main jet but without the spacer it might leak raw fuel which aint too cool. Gimme a call this weekend and lets go for a ride BUB hehe.
