Where is toolkit stored?

Stupid question
. . . i know the savage originally came with a toolkit, but where is it stored?
My '87 doesn't have one. I thought about putting one together, but I can't figure out any good place to store it on the bike.

Just inside the battery box chrome cover on the right side. There isn't a lot of space there though. I'm considering going to a pod air filter and using the airbox as a toolbox.
