Just looking at the specs -- 1 liter 4-cyl, 7.5 gal. fuel, 600#, full fairing, detachable bags -- I would venture that you plan on a road trip and wish somewhat more comfort than the Savage offers.   Again, just looking at the specs, I would be tempted by the same bike -- looks extremely civilized.

From what I've heard & read, the Concours has a loyal following from lots of high mileage owners. There are a few Concours forums out there. Jon, one of our members (or former members?) got a good deal on a Concours. I think they came out the same year as our Savages.   8)
