Hello All,

I currently ride a Yamaha SR250TH and am thinking of upgrading. I found a 2004 Savage 650, 5000 miles for $3399. Okay, I know I asking a group of people with a bias Wink

, but I need some opinions here. Too much? Any advice you can give me I'd appreciate. The former owner is a aquaintance, so that's a bonus, having access to the bikes history.

Reply #7 - 07/11/05 at 13:13:55 I saw a 2001 for $2300. on Saturday. If you are close to Mineral Wells, Texas you might take a look at it. He'd probably deal on that price. My daughter & I both love our Savages, hers is a 2004 & mine is 2003. Perfect bikes for all types of riders and very reliable.

when you swap, be sure to exchange contol cables also. i looked at the s40 and it does't look like the cables are long enough. it may be a problem for the electronic cable though.

it's much easier to go from the pull backs to drag, than the other way around.

I have a 1998 savage; i dont know how or if you can switch the 2 bars. but if so, id be willing. let me know! PS (or if anyone else has some drags for sale, ive got my eyes open...)
