I have installed the Commagination.com headlight modulator.Some people go crazy when they spot you behind them, so when I know for sure they see me, I switch it off.

No trick/ tips just follow the instructions and you'r allright.
BTW I wired it in for the highbeam.

I installed the Pathblazer P115W-S in the Savage this spring.  It was a plug in type.  There was no trick to it.  I took the headlight bezel off (two screws at bottom), removed the bulb with wires attached, unhooked the wires, placed the modulator on the headlight, and reconnected the plug to the modulator instead of directly to the head light.  I had to make sure the wires were coiled so they did not get caught on reassembly, but it was easy to get back into the bucket.  

The sensor wire comes out through the hole in the bucket back. The sensor I mounted with a Nylon Wire tie to the break hose up near the break resevoir.

Did you get the plug in or the splice in?

I love it.  I really get noticed which is what I wanted.  If I am at a stop light and a car is infront of me, I switch it to low beam just to be kind.

I had a person flash me with their car lights the other day.  They had a modulator installed in the car (legal?) as well.

ya know, i've never heard anyone talk about the passing light switch on the machine mines a 04 and it works well. when i see a car in a turn lane, or at an right angle i just flip it a few time and it gets the job done.  does any one else use the passing light for this.

I put the P115W-S Pathblazer in a few minutes ago.
Time for a beer..  

It took under 10 minutes and was so easy, that I feel silly for
even inquiring about it..  

But, for everyone who's planning on installing one:
There's enough room in the bucket for the modulator and
even for the excess wire from the sensor.
No problem to feed the sensor wire along the other wires through
the grummet in the bucket either.

Why did I put a modulator in?
A good friend of mine almost ate it a week ago, when he
got cut off by some tool who was hanging a left and didn't see him.
The bike's totaled, but he was somehow able to walk away from it.
90 bucks seems little money to better the odds..

I put the sensor on the throttlecable and wireloom with a TyWrap.

FWIW Kisan makes a modulator that fits in the OEM light socket.  I'd advise against it.  

Several times mine quit working until I took the light apart and wiggled the bulb.  

I'll replace it with a hardwired modulator.

It DID get me into the habit of checking the lights before each ride, however...
