Just completed putting a set of 98 Intruder risers on the Savage. It took a little modifying to make it work, but it looks great!

Anybody else put risers on their handlebars? I can't seem to find much discussion about it. What did you use?

I'm a little nervous about these only because I had to file off the little knobby thing and create my own grooves for the bars to grip. Also the Intruder bolt is much narrower than the Savage one.

Any tips?

They sure look great on there. If my hubby will stop riding for a minute, I'll snap a pic.

And the thing I filed off was a nipple right inside where the bars rest. Apparently the intruder bars have a hole in them for this to lock into.

The Intruder risers came with the rubber grommets. Which are exactly the same as the Savage.

There was no nipple inside the risers, so I can twist the bar and put it in any position I want.

You can use anyone's stuff. I have a PDF file that I put together for someone else with part numbers and basic instructions. See if this helps.
