Heck of a ride!

Well. Here’s the story. Some friends and me started out yesterday 6/18/05 to do a poker run in Stillwater, OK which is about 70 miles from Tulsa and about 85 miles from me. I wanted to keep track of my miles because we have the tendency to wonder. So here is the starting miles

We made it to Stillwater and got our maps to find the course was over 100 miles. No big deal but then again, we have a tendency to wonder. We did the course then cooled our heals at Eskimo Joe’s for a bit. Then decided to check out Sparks, OK they have the biggest rally around. When we got there the ticket guy said they had sold over 50,000 tickets so far it was awesome one of the biggest party’s I have been to. So later we load up and head back to Tulsa. We make a few stops at friend’s houses in Tulsa. Part company and head home. I get home look at my odometer and BAM I see this

341.3 door to door. Not bad but my arse was killing me. Darn stock seat I have an 87 and have heard the stock seat on the newer bikes is better is that true? How hard is the fit? I have thought about the rubber spacer conversion but an skeptical that it will improve much. I want to keep the bike capable of riding two up. I also don’t think I would like to mess with the airhawk. I haven’t tried one but would hate to get it and not like it. But one of my friends brought his hard tail personal built chopper

I took it for a 20+ mile spin and you think we have it rough wow it sucked but got lots of looks.

It seems to me the '95 seat is way better looking but the '02 is way better sitting - same comute, road, speed.  - That's cool chop - but your right they don't ride worth a dang - but I really don't think that's what they're made for - they're made to catch eye's.

Sounds like a fun ride for sure!

the wife and i swapped bikes this weekend for about 20 miles. mine a 95 ls650 hers a 05 s-40 the s-40 seat seems to be wider and a little bit taller. main thing seems to be when looking at them side by side the s-40 seat seems to be flater then the savage seat. you fell like you sit on a s-40 and sit in the ls650

Thank you. Was it noticably better than the LS seat?
