Ummmmm
Do many of you have custome paint jobs?

Because now..as the S40 they are only available in
2 colors..black or white.

Mine happens to be a used 2001 black. But I would
really like to have it painted eventually. I'll wait till I have a few miles on it (ok scratches and dents from the learning process) and then have it painted.
One of you posted a pic of a stunning blue bike!!! Love it! Ok...girly moment over now.....

When winter hits, take off the fenders and gas tank and side cover and get 'em painted......and quit droppin' that bike ! ..puttin' your feet down when you stop helps

There are roughly 15 MILLION standard shades of automotive paint chips on the market... Roll Eyes

Make the bike yours. Why not? It is yours. Happy hunting. If you like classic colors, see the websites for PPG, Sherwin Williams (automotive lacquers), House of Kolor/Valspar, and MetalFlake.

those are "not colors", but there are many very good ones to pick from.

I've got a "Kevin Custom" paint job. That means me and a couple of cans of spray paint and a couple more cans of PBR... really looks awful, but I like it. My engine and exhaust are flat black, and it has flat black tiger stripes over shiny black. The forks are shiny black and have "UP" with an arrow on the rigth side. Other things painted on my bike are "SQUID," "SH*T 4 BRAINS," "^#%@ OFF," and "650 SINGLE" on the side covers, along with a british looking fighter decal (circles)... just my 0.02 cents. I don't recomend spray painting your bike unless you want it to look like garbage, BUT, with a proper preparation and practice, I hear you can do a good job with spray paint.
