Pictures finally and a long thanks all around...
06/12/05 at 23:56:55

First let me get these pictures up then the gratitude.

Bike in total so far.

Front view turn lights.

Back view.

My fabricated air filter tube.

Lastly is the discoloration of the pipe if you can see it.  Not sure if it is good or not as it is still popping a bit.

Now I would like to thank all the people on here for heling me in what I have done so far.  I would have to say thanks for all the mistakes you have made; so I could make them over again cause I didnt know what you were talking about.  BUT I did know what you meant after I did the same thing you said not to do.

I have been a bit down lately because I shall be gone for about a year come December or January; then its off to somewhere undisclosed to myself for a year or so again.  This is all based on whether I pass the Army's Special Forces Qualification course  (Q course).  Been boning up on my spanish and land nav so I should be good.

Just when I thought I was out they pull me right back in.  Well a $20,000 bonus doesnt hurt either.  So I guess its time to show myself I can be the man I pretend to be for an undetermined amount of time.  If things go well in the next 4 years then I will most likely try a career in the army once again.  Hell I will only have 10 years to retirement at that point anyway.

Well heres to disablity when I am old, and the country that allows me to write about a motorcycle in my leisure.

God bless and I will keep you updated if I ever get to that Seeger Chop kit.

Thanks all.

Another note...I had some white chalky residue on my plug when I pulled it.  I have read that could be from letting it idle to long or having crap gas.  The gas in it is a little old so maybe.  Or is this a bigger problem?

Also how many turns in good on the air/fuel screw?  Is it 2 turns (given a good idle) from closed or from stock?  If stock then what is the original stock setting?

Thanks

Well going for her first real ride in quite a bit.

How do you like that Air Filter setup?  Did you notice a difference in performance/fuel mixture after you installed it?  What model filter is that?  Where did you get the pipe?  is that just PVC?  Thanks.

Bike looks really good.

You bike looks great – I like the way the air pod is setup – does it affect your leg position at all when you ride? Like the turn signals and the black pipe as well. Did you use a high temp rattlecan black or did you powder coat it?  I’d definitely like to know more about your air setup. Great job man.

Doesnt affect leg position at all.

As for performance it seems that my bike is running a little lean on the low end and good on the top.

I can get her up to 60 in about 4 secs.

Any pod filter should do...that is a 40mm on it fits 1 1/2 PVC...A bigger size would probably get some more are.

You can get rubber connections that go from 6" to 1" and everywhere in between so the possibilities are endless.

Yeah...I got it from JC Whitney

It comes in a beige color but I painted it black with caliper paint.
