Oh, my aching...

Took the bike for a decent ride tonight. The retightened seat was a BAD idea. Or maybe I just need more saddle time.

Poor little bike. I think it needs some new parts. Jet kit, muffler, front tire... The rear drum coughed out a bunch of rusty water... The left hand mirror was trying to remove itself from the handlebars... The toolbag is dry rotted to the point of uselessness...

Did you know that spiders can live in your gas cap? Even WITH gas in the tank? Or that garter snakes can fit in the front pulley cover? That'll wake you up... Roll Eyes

Business as usual. Bike runs, handles decently, stops like it was on greased ice... Looks like I'm good to go.  Smiley

WD,
take it easy, man!!! What dis you expect after such along stop?!?!?!  ???

Spiders and snakes are right, they have chosen the Savage over any of the other vehicles you have in the garage, so they deserve some (a little) respect...  Wink

Glad you are back on track, bud...

Take care,

RW

I found a mouse nest between the carbs of an old Yamaha I once owned.

My brakes have been worse than useless since day one... guess I should maybe stop riding at redline all the time.  Cheesy

The worst critter in a bike I've had was launching a mouse into orbit. Out of my exhaust pipe. Didn't hurt the mouse...even the barn cat seemed to think it was funny and let the mouse go.

Rode to work and back today. About 22 miles each way, I think. No problems. Other than I desperately need a new front tire. Hey! I work at a bike shop...DOH!!! I run the tire machines AND get 10% off anything I buy. I'll have to see what's in stock that will fit. I THINK I stashed an Avon Venom away today...

All in all, a pretty good day, except I had to run the bike with the choke open one notch, otherwise it backfired on every shift or slight down throttle. Guess I's bst look for some jets and junk tomorrow.
