We have Progressive as well. I shopped around and they had the best pricing for us -- two bikes; one newbie rider; full-up coverage above minimums $400/year.

OK all i will have to agree with Gazab44 about this, we Brits are really ripped off, savage quotes for me have been around £350 (= $658) and I currently pay £540 (= $1015) for my ZXR 750, but then again I am only 22.. I dont know what kind of cover u guys get there, but BOTH those prices are third party!!!!

I think vehicle insurance rates for a male under age 25 or 26 are pretty steep here too.

LOL, there have to be a few.  They're just sometimes hard to spot.

Reviving an old thread because my motorcycle insurance just doubled.  It doubled because the Uninsured/underinsured costs recently increased (at least in Colorado).  I'm now struggling with what to do because I really can't risk financial ruin if I'm hit by an underinsured driver but I need to be careful on our spending.
The O'Sullivan law firm in Denver is a strong supporter the MC community and they have some information that really makes you think.
https://osullivan-law-firm.com/motorcycle-insurance-colorado/

I am not an expert in insurance so wondering if there are guys on here who truly are versed in this field and can lend some advice.  Currently with Farmer's/Foremost.  My liability (100/300), property damage and collision total only $88/year but the uninsured motorist coverage (at 100/300) just went up to $361/year.

That's because everyone in CO is driving around stoned!  (The last time I was in Denver, a little Nissan pickup got on I70 in front of me.  They went straight to the fast lane..doing 20 mph!!)

Anyway, I'm not sure there is actually enough value (according to the insurance companies) to bother covering my bike. I'd rather save my money for my health insurance deductible and buy life insurance.

Your insurance company is expecting you to purchase a full coverage policy for someone you don't know.   Probably that stoner driving the Nissan.

EDIT:  Of course, I'm an idiot after reading the link you posted.  haha
