Clymer Workshop Manual

Is the "old" Clymer manual good enugh for a "new" savage or has it changed to radical to be usabel ?
The reason im asking is that I can get one for free, but if its no good thel I wont take it in case someone else could get use of it !
As i can understand is the old one a 4 gear model and the new a 5, if that more or less is the only change then it should be usabel !

The 86 and 87 are the 4-speeds and the later models are 5-speed.   Most other changes have been cosmetic.  In the Technical Corner there is a Savage Parts that have changed '86 to '05 thread with a better idea.  Check it out.
