Rubber Plug Part NUmbers

On the Fiche it looks like:

- '95 on back used 11145-41b00 (hollow cap) -
- '96 up lists both  11145-41b01 (hollow cap) -
- and 11145-37401 (solid plug) -

So far as anyone knows are all three compatible no matter what the year of the engine?

Thanks

If You go to the dealer You will find out that the solid plug part # supersedes the rest of the part ##. The only plug You can get is the impruved solid plug. It works on all the models better.

Thanks Slavy, this '95 leaks a little after running an hour or so - guess I'll fix it before it really starts to drip.

I ordered 11145-37401 a couple of weeks a go and got it on Saturday - it was the OLD STYLE - metal cup coated in rubber - installed it over the weekend all seems fine - the one in it did show a lot of wear and maybe some damage as the rubber was pealing back on the top.

So far it seems 11145-41b01 is the NEW style plug.

May order one of those in for grins - it's actually rather a fun task to replace.

I did the same- I just bought a project LS650 with a very minor oil leak and I bought 2 plugs/#*****-41B01/.
One of them will fix the leak and the other will stay for the next project.
