The good news:
Drag bars - dynojet - painted rear hub same as frame - painted part of engine - pod filter (with a twist).
The bad news:
fixed 6 stripped or broken bolts (if you know what helicoil is, then you know the fun I had - 4 times putting the engine back together
each time 2 more stripped or broke - )
Bike fell 3 times while on lift - once, my fault - I put it on from the right side - seems this is not wise. Lucky it was at the begining of the rebuild - nothing was hurt.
Two other times - I have no clue why it went down - didn't think I did anything wrong to the wife but ....
The other bad news - I still have wiring to do and to see if it will even start from the changes I made. Hopefully, it will be ready for a ride to Daytona in March. Never got a chance with all the problems to complete everything I wanted to do - afraid to take anything off for fear of more stripped out problems!
Of course, after getting everything back on, I notice that the gas tank is scratched - so adding the flames like I wanted to will have to be done soon.
Until then, I guess I'll enjoy what I have (hee hee, if it starts - if it doesn't, I may see how much scrap metal will get me)
