New Old toy-I still have my Savage!

I took some of my severance from my recent lay off and bought this 85 Katana. It needs a tuneup, and some paint, but otherwise it's tip top. It's the first and only bike I've ever seen with a pop up headlight----sweet!!!! It's a 750, so I can get my speed kick from this baby.

Nice Bike. The Katana was the first of the new style of speed bikes. Before that there were mostly just Harleys and UJMs.
It looks like it's in great shape.

Very good bikes. Very strong running motors. Just a little on the heavy side. Different fun factor compared with the thumper.
Have Fun!

Cool,
I used to have a photo of the 1000 in my cubical over 20 years ago, next to my gatefold of Eddie Lawson on a green Kawy in a fast corner, w/ smoke coming off his kneepad.
I got an old not-running '83 GS750ESD, I see the rectangular cam covers.
Don't remember, do we have the same motor? ???

This 1985 gsx750 Katana is actually a fake. What your seeing here is a 1/18 scale detailed model I built about 2 years ago. I used a macro lens and some photoshop to give it a realistic look. Sorry, I was just seeing if I could pull a fast one on all you bike enthusiasts. Don't hate me. I was bored.
