We still need pictures of a chain drive Savage 400.  Pictures of yourself would also be appreciated.  I've already extended the Map to cover South America.

Nice, but not RedWine's.  I will not post pictures of other than our users and their bikes.  Almost only counts in horseshoes.

OK, Paladin my friend
I promise I'll post a few pictures of my chain-drive, 400cc Savage as soon as I get film or a new memory stick on any of my cameras. I hope that will be before Friday. Stay tuned (not stoned,  Wink ) and take care.

First thing to do is to get her into an MSF course.  That will decide what she drives to school.

After all, partying is a part of college life that can't be ignored too easily....whether a car or bike, she will party anyway if she wants to.

i plan on getting her into the msf course right after she gets her license.

she herself is not so much of a partyer, but she is rather gullible when it comes to the influence of other people. she's gotten in trouble just tagging along with her bipolar little sister.

Snagged and modified slightly:

The quote is paraphrased from my eldest who was asking for a car.

She got the car.

p.s.  I notice that, like mine, she stopped smiling for the pictures when she got into her teens..

Well my Virago 250 is up for sale... in Market Place... long way to come get it though. But a mint bike at a very good price. If you were so inclined to travel.

Just a note: I  took cphilip's virago posting out of Marketplace since it is not Savage related but if you are interested Sunny, feel free to discuss it in this thread!

I hope you find something that works for your daughter.  Smiley

Well thats fine... I don't recall us being considered Savage snobs... but since we sell harley mufflers and such seems a bit too narrow not to allow other bikes for sale in there to members that like other bikes... Is that going to extend to other bikes discussion too? I have it posted at the Virago 250 Yahoo and on ISBBS as well. So no matter if its here. Just thought some member might be interested in it for situations like Sunny's.

Sunny, here is a crapy phone cam picuture of it I took today. I put the new battery in it and ran it a while. I fear the distance it a bit too far for you to be interested. But... your not going to find a more mint one than this one. However I see them low mileage all the time. But I will get you some better quality pictures if you interested. Just don't have the good cam with me today.

I have to agree with Susan on the Marketplace.  I wouldn't necessarily call it Savage snobbery but this board is for Savage/S40 related stuff and the Marketplace and Technical Corner were created with that in mind.  They could easily become unruly if there weren't some linkage to that primary ideal.  The HD mufflers I've seen there have been spoken of for use on Savages.  Just my opinion.

Well... I agree to some extent... but the delema is that now we are saying if its not Savage spam it is alright to spam in Rubber Side down as long as you slip it into a thread. So thats the problem. If its not Savage it really leaves the poster a delema as to how to inform his Savage buddies of something else besides Savage stuff. And this is still spam. And its only here on this forum because I felt it was something a Savage owner was wanting to get a shot at. I have it plenty of places elsewhere so there was no real need to even put it on this forum except it came up in the course of discussion. But I did not really think it best to post it here in Main forum either. Not all those details. Thats the problem is its not really sutable here either what I posted over there and was removed. Notice I have not reposted it either. It was a lot of detail and pictures.

First time it's come up I guess. Not certian there is a solution. Not a good one anyway. But I would rather not see spam in this forum either. But lets just assume its not going to develop this way again very often. Where someone is looking for a non Savage bike here and someone just happens to be about to let one go. Easy to assume. I mean its not going to happen very often I would think!  8)

I'd say if it's for sale, put it in the For Sale Forum, whether it's a Savage, a Virago, Kittens or Stock Futures.

If it's a earnest offering by a new or legitimate member, leave it there.  It it's spam, like something for Online Pharmacies, Susan should kill it.

If a newbie comes in an places an an ad for a Savage, OK.

If a newbie comes in a places an ad for Viagra, it's outta here.

If a contributing user say with 10 or 20 posts, wants to post something off topic, like hey, my dog had pups, want one?, let it ride for a little while.   Susan can decide when it's old stuff.
