EBC- no more than $25 /not completly sure about the price, but I can get them thru local wholesaler/.  If interested in brake pads and   K&S  fork seals-/$10/, I can help. I'll be back in the city on 01.31

Dennis Kirk sells the DP brake pads for $37.99, the ECB pads for $24.99.

From the DP site: "DP Standard

The standard DP Brakes compound.
Excellent wet/dry performance.
No brake fade.
Some part numbers include a ceramic heat shield.
Low pad wear... No brake dust.
Ideal replacement for street, touring, and off-road where durability is the prime requirement. "

You get what you pay for.  Like you said:

EBC do discs as well, if you are in need. I have them front and back and they work better than standard.

. I don't know what are the best brake pads, but here in Phoenix You usually can buy 2 kinds of aftermarket brake pads-EBC/cheaper, but good enough/ and Galfer-more expensive, better stopping, but softer with shorter life.
In this moment on Ebay somebody is selling very cheap front pads with 2 different friction materials. Check on "Suzuki LS650 pads"
