Standard TZR brace is 2mm thick, the one I have is a one off 6mm thick one Clive W

Goes on right after the downtube splits into two.

I doubt that it can move - if you look at this picture you can see the u-bolts go through a flat plate that is pulled against the frame. Certainly feel planted.

On the bike when it followed me home - no idea where he got them.
