8)Cool! One of these days, I'd like to try a drag-bar set up on my Savage ... a few reviews of the S40 I've read say that drags give the LS better steering control ... I can attest to better comfort, as I recently sat on a new S40 in the dealers showroom and the slight lean forward that the drag bars produced, took the weight off of my hips a little ... which I immediately knew would be better for my bum lower back ...
Anyhoo, I've heard that the VZ800 Marauder drag bars will bolt right on to the Savage ... any truth to this?

I must say I love the look of drag bars but I also love the feel of of the buckhorn/swan bars.

The Savage has 3˝" centers  for the risers.  I'd think that with some twiddling and maybe a trip to Ace, any set of 3˝" posts should fit.

I've been doing a lot of searching for handlebars lately and noticed a number of parts that seem to be for various models in the Suzuki line. All their cruisers are variations on the Intruder (The Savage is a mini-Intruder) and I'd expect quite a bit of common ground.

I was making a list of parts that are common, to post here.

So far, not much:

Common sizes:

Handlebar Riser Spacing = 3.5"
Kawasaki Vulcan 800, 1500 Classic, Mean Streak, Suzuki Savage 650, Marauder 1600

Correction 2/13/05: The Savage Has 4" spacing. my source was wrong

Brake Fluid Reservoir Covers
Savage 650 and Boulevard M40, Intruder 800/1400 and Boulevard S50/S83

throttle tube, same as GSX1100G

This is great! I think you ought to post this in the technical section. You can add to it/update it as you find out more. Others may have some things to add to the list too.
