It feels just right there. I've been up to 80mph, just to see how it felt, but I like back roads best so the slower speeds are just fine.

I don't like having to do 70 -80mph on the Interstate (when it is moving) to keep up. I should also note that I am on the interstates <5% of the time, do not have a windshield, and my right saddle bag likes to fly up onto the back seat.

Most of my riding is done on country twisties - speed varies depending on the road but usually between 35 and 50 mph.

Here in Michigan I keep it between 55 and 60 on the back roads--that way I can keep up with the flow of traffic (if there is any) and can also see some of the scenery. On the expressway I generally go 70-75. The longest I have gone is 90 miles straight on the expressway--then I have to stop for gas...my hands are really tingally, because of the vibrations from the bike at that many rpm's.

I do prefer the backroads though, and I do take them when I have the time (not very often, I leave at the last second to get to work on time).
